Braxton 7 Months and Christmas Morning Pics

Our sweet boy  turned 7 months a few days before Christmas so what better photo opportunity!

He is rolling and scooting a little all over the place

He is eating all baby food twice a day and seems to like whatever we give him

He is laughing out loud more and more

No teeth although he drools tons and always has something in his mouth

He drinks 5-6 oz of formula every 3-4 hours

He takes 3 naps a day 

Love this little munchkin more than words can say!

Braxton:6 Months

I know I am way behind on this post but didn't want to miss out on posting Braxton's 6 month pictures.

16 lbs 10.6 oz and 27.25 in. ( Dr. calls him long and lean)

Is rolling over a lot

Smiling at momma and daddy

Has eaten sweet potatoes, carrots, apples, bananas, green beans, and pears

Goes to bed at 6:30 am and still might wake  up once in middle of the night then sleeps til 7 am.

Getting lots of hair

Our sweet little 4 month old!!

Holy smokes I am actually on time with a post, this hasn't happened often lately....actual I am way behind but today our little man turned 4 months old and I wanted to share his fun photo shoot!

 These eyes and long eyelashes melt momma's heart!

Daddy is getting us with the Teddy Bear!!

Braxton at 4 months:

Weighs approximately 14lbs according to home scales

Sleeps 10-11 hours at night and takes several naps a day

Eats 4-5 oz every 3-4 hours and eats 7 oz with cereal at night

He smiles a lot and think mom and dad are so funny :) 

Laughs a little while scrunching his nose

Talks to himself

Adores seeing himself in the camera

Sucks on his hands loudly

Starting to have great head control..can sit in his bumbo for a few minutes at a time

LOVES bath time!

Man how time flies but loving every precious moment with this sweet boy!

Braxton Gene: 3 months

(I think I missed 2 months and I don't remember info so just skipping that one :)

At 3 months he is:

10 lbs 12.8 oz (15th percentile)

24 inches (60th percentile)

Smiling

His hair is getting longer, redder and curlier

Love this little munchkin!!

The one and only, Hossie

I feel like it is only fitting to tell you about this special man, Hossie who would have been turning 84 today!!

This special guy was my grandpa and a pretty darn fabulous one at that!!

 He loved his wife, Mary more then words can say but that didn't mean he didn't give her a hard time every now and then! He liked to keep her on her toes! In 1950, they moved away from their families to run the ranch in Dalhart. After the first winter, they were ready to head back south but Hossie's dad, Henry had other plans and left them there and they fell in love with the place. Today, the ranch is still in the family and a special place for all to come together!!

 He was a cowboy from the day he was born. He started working on ranches around the Thurber and Strawn around when he was 10. I was very fortunate to get to spend 3 summers right along side this cowboy and I wouldn't trade those memories for anything. I learned a lot and counted many a head of cows in those back pastures! We may or may not have stopped for a nap now and then too.

 His granddaughters were pretty partial to him!

The cowboy has ridden away but for family and friends he will always be in our hearts!! We love and miss you so much Hossie but we know you are looking down on us from heaven and get to see all of the fun things happening in the family including all your great grand children. I can't wait to tell Braxton about his great grandpa, Hossie!!

4th of July

On Wednesday, Garrett and I met Rebecca to get her two boys to come stay with us so they could go to the parade in Canyon with Braxton and I while Garrett worked. We had a great time at the parade and got lots of candy.

After Garrett got off we headed to the Zurick Ranch in Amistad,NM for some fun family and friend time!! Kyle and Andy were great hostesses and it was so fun to be with cousins and all our kids be together too.
